Position Overview: We seek a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales & Business Development Manager to spearhead our commercial initiatives in Angola. The successful candidate will possess extensive market knowledge, a proven track record in B2B sales, and exceptional capabilities in driving strategic partnerships and revenue growth within the geospatial technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, execute, and manage comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue and growth targets.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive engagement, tailored client presentations, strategic proposals, and effective contract negotiations.
• Build and maintain robust relationships with key clients, stakeholders, government agencies, and industry partners across relevant sectors such as agriculture, mining, telecommunications, ecological management, and asset management.
• Drive subscription sales and consulting engagements related to geospatial applications and analytical services.
• Represent the GEODATA Center at industry events, trade fairs, and business forums to enhance brand visibility and client outreach.
• Continuously analyze market conditions, provide competitive intelligence, and deliver insights to internal product development and technical teams to enhance service offerings.
• Collaborate closely with technical, financial, product, and operational teams to ensure efficient project implementation, timely delivery, and superior client satisfaction.
• Regularly update senior management on sales progress through accurate forecasting, pipeline reporting, and strategic feedback.
• Follow industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor movements within the Angolan and broader regional markets.
Requisitos
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, GIS, Geography, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or related master's) is advantageous.
• A minimum of 5 years' successful experience in sales and business development, preferably within technology, telecommunications, geospatial intelligence, or similar sectors.
• Demonstrated experience in nurturing and expanding client relationships within Angola.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Angolan business environment, including government procurement processes and industry-specific requirements.
• Exceptional negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese and professional proficiency in English.
Desired Skills:
• Previous experience with GIS/GEOINT technology, satellite imagery solutions, and spatial analytics.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and familiarity with structured sales methodologies.
• Proven ability to independently manage projects from initiation to successful completion.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive, results-driven approach.
• Strong cultural sensitivity and adeptness in navigating complex business environments.
