Role Overview
Participate as an on-site laboratory analyst during the commissioning and startup efforts of world scale LNG facility. The successful applicant will work with Bechtel Corporation to supervise the commissioning, startup and turnover of the Angola LNG laboratory.
Basic Qualifications
Must have experience with calibrating gas chromatographs and running extended gas composition analysis.
Must also have experience with amine systems and associated lab samples. Prior experience with LNG or cryogenic liquid and NGL sampling and analysis is desired.
The applicant must be a highly motivated individual with the desire and schedule flexibility to work in a fast paced commissioning and startup assignment.
BS in Chemistry
Prefer 10-15 years of plant laboratory experience with in plant sampling and analytical experience. LNG and/or cryogenic processing experience are preferred.
Position Skills
Demonstrates strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and to accuracy.
Ability to work on own initiative Ability to work overtime with little or no notice
Sophisticated written and oral communication.

The successful applicant will work with Bechtel Corporation to supervise the laboratory efforts through restart and performance test to ensure analyses are consistent with Bechtel standards and accuracy requirements.
The project is based in a camp environment managed by Bechtel Corporation in Soyo, Zaire Province, Angola.
The project assignment is classified as single status.
Schedule flexibility and the ability to work with moving target assignment start and end date is a must.
All work is under the direction of Bechtel Corporation, who has overall EPC commissioning and startup responsibility, although Angola ALNG has fully staffed the lab and it has been in operation. This position is to ensure that Bechtel’s interests are protected.
Ensures that work being performed is within scope of services.
Coordinates with client representatives to obtain approval on work as it is accomplished.
Requires strict adherence to safety requirements at all time. Work hours as required.
Site is located in the Soyo Assignment is estimated to be 10-12 months
