Business accountability: Impact on result:

Business Requirements:
Determines availability of credit data sources to support business requirements;
Sources appropriate data and prepares meaningful and accurate management information (MIS) pertaining to portfolio performance;
Provides input into new reporting solutions (i.e. Digitisation) using standard business intelligence methodology and toolsets;

Data extraction and manipulation:
Reviews appropriate data scripts to ensure accurate data extraction;
Ensures that all necessary data validations are in place and that reconciliations are standardised. This is necessary as questionable data can invalidate an entire measurement report;
Provides input into the development of automated reporting platforms;
Engages with relevant stakeholders when data anomalies are detected which could impact the accuracy of reporting and drive the resolution thereof;

Reporting and analytics process:
Conducts in depth reviews of all scored lending strategies and policy rules from the relevant approved product papers in order to design relevant portfolio performance reports as input into all business and credit strategy decisions;
Continuously monitors and tests processes and data to detect errors in order to improve reporting efficiencies;
Stays abreast of all changes of how the Customer Decision Engine (CDE) works to qualify and non-qualify customers for lending limits;
Adheres to timelines for new reporting requirements, whilst ensuring;
regular standardised monthly requirements are still delivered;
Ensures that service levels are clearly defined, understood and adhered to with the relevant stakeholders;
Manage and resolve escalated queries regarding reporting insights and analytics;

Portfolio management:
Reviews risk appetite breaches to ensure that the portfolio remains within risk appetite parameters and recommends the most appropriate course of action;

Determines which components negatively and positively impact the ROE for all products to ensure that the desired ROE’s are being achieved;
Provides input into the scored lending strategies and incremental Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to ensure alignment with the desired business and credit outcomes;

Reviews, analyses and reconciles all the daily/weekly/monthly reporting outputs and drives resolution thereof in conjunction with guidance from PBB AR Credit Head Office (e.g. technical issues related to reporting);
Monitors the progress of action plans arising from portfolio management reporting and relevant audit findings;
Uses all available information to proactively identify areas of opportunity or concern regarding credit risk related trends, for example the early arrear trends;
Stays abreast of scorecard model developments, policy rules and implementation thereof;
Actively promotes a data driven decision making culture and creates awareness of the importance of credit risk management;
Provides portfolio recommendations in response to environmental and/or risk changes in order to improve the credit risk environment;

Provides input into business and credit strategy decisions based on the review of the reporting analytics produced;

Bespoke credit insights and analytics:
Conducts a detailed analysis of risk trends and any changes thereof followed by a detailed investigation to determine the root cause, supported with statistical evidence;
Prepares appropriate recommendations based on root cause analysis conducted and presents at forums for adoption;
Conducts benchmark trends using external data for example market share, economic environment to obtain a view of credit practices relative to the competition;
Ensures that all insights and analytics, trends and recommendations are available timeously to all relevant stakeholders;

Identifies and manages data quality issues that affect the accuracy of insights and analytics and drives the remediation thereof;

Ensures that insights and analytics delivered are aligned to business requirements prior to distribution;

Remains abreast of insights and analytics best practice to ensure new and improved designs and products provide improved value to stakeholders;

Governance:
Adheres to appropriate governance for data integrity, scorecards used, implementation of all CRMC Lending policy rules, appropriate sign off and testing for limits calculated, approved and granted – highlights any deviations and alerts relevant stakeholders;
Attends the monthly scored lending meeting with various stakeholders (Business, Credit, Product and PBB AR Credit teams) to discuss the portfolio performance and presents relevant recommendations;

Knowledge sharing:
Shares knowledge and information of analysis techniques and portfolio management with the stakeholders in country;

Angolan nationality;
A university degree in Business Commerce, Risk Management or Mathematical Science;
Professional experience of 3 - 4 years in Risk Management;
Professional experience of 1 - 2 years in Personal and Business Banking (Products);
English written and speaking fluently;
