Quality Advisor (Project)

Reporting to: Project Manager

Objectives / Scope: 

• To provide direct support and guidance to Project Management on Quality Management issues.
• To implement Project Quality Management and business improvement system in accordance with the principles of PEM.
• To support the maintenance and continual improvement processes in line with the requirements of ISO 9001 and the Quality Management System.

Main Responsibilities:

• Reporting to Quality Manager for implementation of annual Quality objectives
• Implementation of Project Management System compliant with PEM.
• Prepare, maintain and update the Project Quality Management System (Project homepage)
• Promote awareness, understanding and use of the Quality Management System (Project homepage) within the Project.
• Maintain the improvement action register and ensure effectiveness of process.
• Prepare the Project Quality Plan and roll out to Project personnel.
• Raise and follow up non-conformances as required, to ensure timely and effective close out
• Carry out Root Cause Analysis and Lessons Learned where applicable/required
• Establish and manage Quality and Improvement Review Boards for the Project
• In conjunction with Quality Manager develop and maintain Project specific quality documentation, including but not limited to, procedures/work instructions and audit schedules and provide relevant training to Project personnel.
• Carry out internal and external audits in alignment to the Project audit schedule.
• Review and endorse vendor / supplier documents in respect of Quality Management.
• Lead / participate in investigations of Quality Management failures relating to Project.
• Assist in supplier selection processes, including pre-qualification assessments, bid evaluation, Quality appraisals.  
• Liaise with QS Hub to ensure inspection requirements are aligned with Project and industry requirements.

HS & E Responsibilities:

• Ensure familiarity with Aker Solutions’ HSE&Q Policies, Principles, Just Care™, HSE Mindset, Just Rules, Just Culture and Operating System
• Actively promote, through personal commitment, Aker Solutions’ HSE&Q Policies, Principles, Just Care™, HSE Mindset, Just Rules, Just Culture and HSE Operating system
• Be seen as a role model on HSE matters within your areas of operation and influence
• Demonstrate HSE leadership of HSE&Q Policies, Principles, Just Care™, HSE Mindset, Just Rules, Just Culture and Operating System
• Take personal responsibility for HSE local site rules and ensure regular review of your personal HSE agreement
• Intervene and ensure intervention by others where required
• Report all accidents, incidents and near misses in accordance with Procedures
• Keep abreast of industry developments and innovations that may affect safety and welfare of personnel or protection of the environment, and inform colleagues accordingly

Qualifications:

• Degree, HND or HNC in Engineering Discipline
• Membership of the Institute of Quality Assurance
• Registered Lead Auditor

Specific Training / Specialist Skills:

• Knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques
• Coaching Skills
• Microsoft Office suite
• Kelvin TopSet or equivalent 
• Akims knowledge
• Synergi experience

Experience:

• Demonstrable experience in the oil and gas industry as a Quality professional.
• Minimum 5 years in Quality position or similar

• Capable of self-motivation and lateral thinking, to provide the best solution to a problem
• Hands on execution
• Good organisation skills and ability to prioritise
