Project Engineer (Senior)

PROJECT ENGINEER

Reporting to: Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer 

Objectives / Scope: To be responsible for the day to day execution of Engineering Projects.

Main Responsibilities:

•  To set up and maintain the Project File and Project Database Entry.
•  To be responsible for updating plans, schedules and progress reports.
•  To take day to day responsibility for execution of the project.
•  To liase with the Client Representative.
•  To ensure the Project is adequately resourced and to identify additional requirements for action by the Project Manager.
•  To Co-ordinate the efforts of all discipline engineers involved in the Project. 

HS & E Responsibilities:

•  Ensure familiarity with Aker Solutions’ HSEQ Policies, Principles, Just Care™, HSE Mindset, Just Rules, Just Culture and HSE Operating System
•  Actively promote, through your personal commitment, Aker Solutions’ HSEQ Policies, Principles, Just Care™, HSE Mindset, Just Rules, Just Culture and HSE Operating system
•  Be seen as a role model on HSE matters within your areas of operation and influence

•  Take personal responsibility for HSE local site rules and ensure regular review of your personal HSE agreement
•  Intervene and ensure intervention by others where required
•  Report all accidents, incidents and near misses in accordance with Procedures
•  Keep abreast of industry developments and innovations that may affect safety and welfare of personnel or protection of the environment, and inform colleagues accordingly

SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER

Reporting to: Project Manager

Objectives / Scope: To take a leadership role and be responsible for the day to day execution of projects.

Main Responsibilities:

•  To understand strategic aspect of the project in order to implement optimum approach.
•  Responsible for the delivery of cost estimates and schedule to client as part of the work approval process
•  Responsible for the execution of work according to the agreed schedule and budgets
•  Satisfactory delivery of the Contract KPI’s as appropriate to allocated work
•  To be responsible for updating plans, schedules and progress reports.
•  To take day to day responsibility for execution of the project.
•  To liaise with the Client Representative.
•  To ensure the Project is adequately resourced and to identify additional requirements for action by the Project Manager.
•  To co-ordinate the efforts of all discipline engineers involved in the Project.

SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER / PROJECT ENGINEER

Qualifications:

•  Educated to degree level
•  Chartered or Incorporated Engineer.

Specific Training / Specialist Skills:

•  In depth understanding of the Offshore Oil and Gas industry.
•  Demonstrable technical expertise and understanding of all engineering disciplines.

Experience:

•  Demonstrable relevant professional and engineering experience within the offshore oil and gas industry.
•  Previous experience in a Project or Senior Project Engineering role.

Personal Skills:

•  Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
•  Good presentation and communication skills.
•  Self motivated and results driven.
