Must have strong computer oriented skills (familiarity with Autocad, MS Office, Numerical Methods Solutions, Structural Analysis Software such as STAAD, SFrame, RISA ..)
Responsible for supervising large groups of professionals and non-professionals or small groups of specialized engineers or as a highly specialized technical engineer in servicing heavy industrial clients in the nuclear sector
The ability to lead large or small projects is an asset
The candidate will be capable of committing to and maintaining a project timeline
Previous experience in the design of heavy industrial structures (steel, concrete, wood, masonry), preferably in the Nuclear industry, and Consulting Engineering experience is desirable
Knowledge of process plants, headframe structures, shaft steel, and underground steel and concrete structures is an asset
Performs specific engineering studies, engineering calculations, and other design analyses using industry software
Evaluates the work of technical staff and provides feedback based on client needs and approve the discipline and layout design criteria documents
Lead the technical delivery of civil engineering projects / civil engineering input in to complex, multi-disciplinary projects
Stay abreast of industry developments and changes in standards
Requisitos
Willingness to be a part of a global engineering company and to collaborate with teams in other offices around the world
Proficient using Microsoft Office and Project
Be incorporated or working towards Chartered status with the ICE or IStructE
A strong track record in civil and structural engineering design within the heavy highway/rail environment for both large bridge type structures and ancillary elements common to large projects such as railway re-signalling projects
Good experience of structural analysis software such as Superstress and LUSAS
Experience of undertaking and supervising visual and intrusive investigation works within the heavy highway/rail environment using the range of safe systems of work available
