Finance Manager

• Managing the full month and year end reporting processes
• With the goal to meet the group reporting deadline on the 6th processing day after month end.
• Completing all reporting tasks as required by Southey Offshore Division on monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Producing monthly project and job costing reports for review of project teams, country Manager and Divisional Directors
• Processing job allocations and general ledger entries as required
• Producing monthly reporting packs
• Reviewing of all monthly control reconciliations
• Management of working capital and cash flow for the region
• Assist with improvement of Division financial controls over procurement, wages, stores and fixed assets.
• Oversee and manage the payroll function
• Oversee and manage the invoicing process for all regions
• Assist with compliance reviews for Angola
• Maintaining compliance for Angolan entities and performing monthly submissions of any compliance related returns
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and any further regulatory requirements
• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
• Assist on the annual financial audit for the company and Divisions
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders including banking institutions, regulatory bodies, government agencies, clients and key suppliers.
• The above, together with any further requirements that may arise for the department as business operations development.

The candidate should work well in a team environment, be a motivated self-starter with high ambition and the ability to operate away from direct management. The candidate should have strong problem-solving ability with commitment to follow delegated tasks through to completion. The position is within in challenging industry currently and candidates should be willing to contribute operationally to improving profitability of the Division.

The candidate should be a registered ACCA with experience of up to 3 years would be preferable but strong recently qualified candidates will also be considered. The candidate should be fluent in both English and Portuguese as well as have proved work experience with regards to AGT submissions. Experience in the oil and gas industry and with Syspro will be highly advantageous.
