HSE Advisor

Ensuring that marine quality, safety and security activities of the Company Fleet are at all times in full compliance with the industry and the Company standards.
• Organizing and monitoring all vetting inspections of the Vessels in a timely manner to allow for their widest trading scope possible at any given time in close cooperation with Technical, Crewing and Operations Departments maintaining up to date all vetting records, relevant databases and questionnaires
• Conduct on-board training, pre-vetting inspection and participate in the vetting inspections on board of the company managed vessels.
• Liaise with the Designated Person, the Technical Manager and Superintendents. The Marine Safety & Compliance Officer, or his Deputy, will require those office holders to alert him to all situations where the safety, security or quality standards of the Company’s operations are at issue. If necessary, Marine Safety & Compliance Officer mobilizes and coordinates the Crisis Management Team.
• Ascertain from the Designated Person whether the adequate resources and shore-based support are applied as required for the development, implementation and maintenance of the Quality & Safety Management System, in compliance with the ISM Code and ISO 9001 / 14001 standards
• Review and modify Procedures and Instructions where necessary to improve Safety Management System
• Conduct Internal Audits of all departments of the Company, and all vessels based on the Annual Audit Plan
• Organize Emergency Drills, with the Company’s Office and on board, between ships and the Crisis Management Team
• Liaise with management for Office Staff and Seafarers training requirements and standards

• Must hold valid Basic Safety Training Certificate or BOSIET Certificate
• Must hold HUET certificate
• Languages: Fluent in English
• Computer Skills: Literate – Required
• At least 3 years Offshore Experience onboard the vessels
