Role Summary
Oversee contract negotiations, manage marine documentation, manage and analyze bids and tenders, as well as drive strategic business development. The role involves ensuring compliance, conducting data analysis, fostering collaboration, and resolving issues promptly. This position requires strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with a deep understanding of maritime regulations and market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities
1. Contract Management:
• Oversee marine operations contract management
• Negotiate and finalize contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers ensuring accuracy and compliance with approved bid evaluation reports
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and regulations
• Provide administrative support for contract finalization, performance bonds, subcontracting, and amendments to existing contracts

  1. Marine Vessel Documentation:
    • Manage and update marine vessel documentation, including Temporary Importation (TI) and International Maritime Purchasing Association (IMPA) documents
    • Work closely with marine teams and technicians to ensure regulatory compliance

  2. Bid Analysis and Tender Submission:
    • Undertake the preparation and submission of Bid Evaluation reports, ensuring accuracy, quality, and reliability of content
    • Support bid analysis by evaluating vendor proposals and providing admin input for contract coordination
    • Prepare and submit tenders accurately and on time, coordinating technical and commercial content

  3. Strategic Business Development:
    • Support the management of projected business cases and drive the identification and quantification of strategic business case levers
    • Interface with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on topics such as taxation, project structuring, and funding requirements
    • Develop and grow market share by targeting key projects or clients, actively managing and reporting on achievement of business development targets
    • Define niche solutions, actively targeting and seeking new projects and opportunities to expand the company's service offerings

  4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Present data analysis related to marine operations, procurement, and business development
    • Generate reports highlighting key performance indicators, industry performance, and trends

  5. Communication and Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, stakeholders, and clients for effective communication and coordination of commercial activities
    • Represent the business at client meetings, technical seminars, sales events, and exhibitions as required

  6. Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
    • Stay informed about maritime regulations, industry practices, and market behavior
    • Ensure compliance with applicable quality policies, procedures, processes, and systems

  7. Problem Resolution:
    • Identify and address issues related to contracts, documentation, procurement, and bid strategies promptly

Aptidões necessárias

Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field. Post Grad Qualification or Equivalent Qualifications in Business Management or similar.
7+ years of proven experience in contract management, marine operations, procurement, commerce, or sales and marketing leadership roles.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Knowledge of maritime regulations, industry practices, and Oil & Gas markets.
Technical competencies include commercial acumen, financial management, negotiations, customer relationship management, developing value propositions, market knowledge, risk management, governance, and compliance.
Behavioural competencies include strategic thinking, future orientation, and effective risk management.
