Carry out maintenance activities relevant to discipline (Carry out initial investigation for breakdowns/fault finding and ensure on the job presence during major work scopes)
Recommend changes to spares requirements to ALNG supervisors
Recommend changes to maintenance procedures and work instructions system to ALNG supervisors
Carry out on the job technical and safety training of SoniMech Instrument Technicians
Ensure SAP work orders correctly resourced within target timeframe (including those for Shutdowns)
Ensure all resources (e.g. Scaffold/materials/rigging etc) are in place to allow work to be executed as per Plan
Prepare work permits (ISSOW WCC’s)
Deploy resources (allocate and evaluate work) to execute approved plan
Ensure accuracy of SAP work history/measurement points (WCOM orders)
Maintain effective communication with peers and other work groups
Conduct work group briefings
Create, maintain & enhance effective working relations
Assess overall Instrument competence of staff in conjunction with ALNG authorities
Assist in SoniMech Instrument personnel selection, interview & recruitment process.
MAINTENANCE TASKS:
Carry out instrumentation planned, preventative, and remedial maintenance on equipment including but not limited to the following:
All safety and shutdown system instrumentation
Electric, hydraulic and pneumatic actuators
Logic, manual, relief, control and non-return valves including valve positioners and signal converters
Level, pressure, temperature and flow indicators and gauges
Flow meter troubleshooting and Repair Experience (Coriolis Flow Meters, Rotameters, Ultrasonic Flow Meter, Vortex Shedding Flow Meters and Metering and Custody Transfer Systems)
Level, pressure, temperature, flow, fire, gas, vibration, and position transmitters and switches
Level Transmitter troubleshooting and Repair Experience (Differential Pressure Level Transmitters, Displacer Level Transmitter, Level Gauges, Level Switches, Tank Gauging Instruments)
Gas and liquid analysers
Electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic control loops
Electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic measurement loops
Pressure storage equipment
Electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
Electrical interlocks
AC and DC power protection
Calibration of electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic devices and systems
Replacement of, PCBs, valves and valve trims, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic circuit devices, and software
Relay logic systems, troubleshooting and diagnostics including programmable logic controllers
Verification of equipment and machinery performance criteria and mechanical equipment isolation integrity
Analysis of pneumatic, hydraulic and software malfunction
Small bore tubing and compression fittings
Air dryers, solenoids, regulators, and switches
Preparation of resources and work sites with reference to other coincident activities to ensure the effectiveness and safety of complex operation and maintenance work
Minimisation of substance release to the environment and safe disposal of hazardous substances
Compliance with relevant specifications and standards
Selection of PPE appropriate to task
Maintenance of accurate and up to date records
Evaluation of condition monitoring data
Utilisation of a computerised planned and preventative maintenance system
Certified electrical equipment maintenance
Authorised Person Instrument (API) duties
Mechanical Isolation Authority (MIA) Instrument

Recognised Qualifications and Experience:
Fluent oral and written English
Evidence of apprenticeship or significant equivalent experience
HNC or equivalent Engineering higher education
Evidence of CMMS (SAP) training or equivalent
Demonstrable evidence of use, understanding and interpretation of technical electrical drawings, symbols, P&ID’s, and Isometrics.
Permit to work systems and process understanding
Lockout and Tagout
Management of change
Extensive field experience in maintenance, operation and failure cause and analysis.
Professional membership
Proficient in Microsoft systems and packages.
